Meet Miss Pennie

About Me:

Pennie achieved all major exams with the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (I.S.T.D). She then went on to complete her ballet training at the acclaimed Arts Educational London Schools and Central School of Ballet, London.

In addition to a fine career dancing professionally in theatres internationally, Pennie brings her experience teaching young children and understanding them on an emotional level. This means her students are introduced to dance in a warm and caring child-led environment as well as receiving the invaluable technical foundation that puts them in good stead for the future.

With a strong classical ballet background Pennie also has a wealth of experience in many styles which allow her to create uniquely designed, exciting curriculum to give her students a wide-ranging exposure to dance.

At Silk, students develop enduring life skills while learning to dance. We nurture and inspire our students, who develop the courage to be themselves. In this safe environment, students become confident, imaginative and socially comfortable. Our students gain skills applicable to many areas of life, and are able to approach challenges with courage, creativity and resilience. Students will find the atmosphere at Silk School of Dance to be warm and friendly. Our classes are small, allowing teachers and assistants to give each student personalised support.
